Ping Services for your Blog
Thu, 14 Aug 2008 18:46:27 +0000
Why Ping? Well it promotes your blog, well your blog post, to a wider readership. So it’s worth doing, as I’m assuming that you want people to read what you are writing. So what is a blog Ping? It notifies a service that your blog has been updated, the advantage of the sites below is [...]

Review of Zagg invisibleSHIELD for iPhone
Thu, 14 Aug 2008 18:11:56 +0000
So when I got my iPhone I knew that I’d order the Zagg invisibleSHIELD sticker to protect it. These clear stickers are tough and protect your iPhone (or laptop or whatever) from everyday scratches, like when you’d put your iPhone in your pocket with your car keys. The US military use these stickers on some [...]

Fixing the TomTom GO 720 Yellow Screen of Death
Mon, 11 Aug 2008 21:21:49 +0000
Own a TomTom? Ever had the Yellow Screen of Death? That no boot-up-screen with the red cross in it, it basically means that until you fix the software on your TomTom it is dead. It’s not bricked, as it is fixable. Here’s how, as I found the Home screen counter intuitive. Follow these steps entirely [...]

Garmin 350 Stolen, Need New GPS
Mon, 11 Aug 2008 17:29:06 +0000
So my Garmin Nuvi 350 was stolen last night, so I need to get a new GPS system for my car. I’m considering the TomTom GO 730 or 720. The GO 720 is so much cheaper, does the 730 really offer anything extra for the price difference?
Anyone actually used these units?
Considering the price VS feature [...]

Best OS X Applications 2008
Sun, 10 Aug 2008 16:31:44 +0000
I’m in the process of rebuilding my Mac after reinstalling OS X Leopard. I’d messed the last install up using monolingual and stripping out the PPC code. OS X does not like that and I don’t recommend it for the small savings that you get in disk space. So I was thinking to myself, as [...]

Rainbow LED Keyboard
Wed, 06 Aug 2008 16:02:14 +0000
Luxeed’s LED keyboard can light up your life. If not your life then your desktop. For some of us that’s the same thing, right?
I like the look of this thing, and the amazing colours, and would love to give one a test drive to see how the keys respond. Don’t buy until you try as [...]

CR Goes iPhone Friendly
Mon, 04 Aug 2008 01:17:21 +0000
I’ve added a couple of plugins that help the site be used more easily on the iPhone, and other mobile browsers. It’s a big improvement to the old way I was doing this. I’ve used the following two plugins:
wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mobileadmin/ — mobile admin makes admin on the go easy
iwphone.contentrobot.com/2007/07/04/iwphone-wordpress-plugin-and-theme/ — changes the theme just for the [...]

Need to get an iPhone 2 case - Recommendations?
Wed, 23 Jul 2008 17:40:27 +0000
People seem to go for the Agent 18 cases, which one though?
Also looking OK is the Spek SeeThru.
The SwitchEasy Rebel is interesting but not much colour.
Anyone got other suggestions? I’ll update this post as I learn more.

One Step Forward, Vista is so Slow
Fri, 18 Jul 2008 15:46:42 +0000
I have moy old work laptop, a 1.7ghz XP SP2 IBM thinkpad T42. I have a new one as well, a Lenevo thinkpad tablet X61. The tablet’s cool, and I love that functionality. What I hate is the fact the new laptop has no trackpad (ARG!) and worse, much worse, it is Vista.
I really don’t [...]
